With his good looks, infectious smile and smooth voice, it’s pretty hard not to love the gorgeous Silas Miami. We caught up with this Kenyan-born musician after the release of his latest single, ‘Hard to love’, to find out more about his life off-stage.
What would you say is your best attribute?
A smile that reveals a lot more than I’d like it to.
What instantly attracts you to a person?
Wit and humour. If you can crack a semi-decent joke within minutes of meeting me, then I’m bound to be hooked.
What’s your idea of a perfect date?
Coffee at Bootlegger (the Salt River branch, because Adnan is phenomenal) discussing gender politics and the right-wing’s apparent fear of political correctness. I wear my beliefs the same way I wear my cocoa butter: everywhere.
What fills the spot at the top of your dream destination list?
Zanzibar still tops my list. The water is fantastic, the people are great and the food is spectacular. But if I’m being honest, anywhere I don’t have to code-switch makes it to the top of my list!
What’s your favourite drink?
Lemonade. I’m a card-carrying member of the Hive.
Do you have any regrets when it comes to past relationships?
Yes. One. That they didn’t end sooner.
