People are getting fillers in their nipples, so would you dare?

We’re no strangers to the concept of dermal fillers used to plump up the lips or add definition to the cheeks. But what about filling the nipples?

The popular non-invasive cosmetic treatment doesn’t just provide lip service. In fact, it can be used in a multitude of ways all over the body.

We’ve called upon expert cosmetic doctor Dr. Esho to find out exactly where you can get fillers, why people are getting it done, and the potential risks involved in having the treatment in a non-FDA approved treatment area.

NIPPLES

“People are seeking fillers in their nipples to temporarily project their nipples to appear more prominent or erect,” says Dr. Esho.

However, he doesn’t recommend the treatment and warns that it could have dangerous side effects. “It is not a procedure I would recommend to any patients. It is not an FDA approved use of hyaluronic acid fillers. There is also a chance this could increase the risk of nipple or breast infections and potentially interfere with breastfeeding,” he warns.

“Also, just because fillers are safe to use in an area of the body doesn’t mean you should sign up for it.” Here, here!

UNDER EYES

Anyone who has dark circles knows that they are incredibly difficult to treat with topical skincare due to the fact that they are caused by a lack of volume in the area, creating a shadow effect. “We can dramatically reduce the appearance of dark circles with what’s called a tear trough procedure. The fillers are placed into the area using a cannula and acts to plump out the hollow. It gives a fresh and rejuvenated finish.”

EARS

Ears are the new brows. Lol jk, but ear fillers  are becoming an increasingly popular non-surgical treatment.

“Believe it or not, I’m having more and more requests for dermal fillers to help reshape ears. Either they’ve been damaged by heavy earrings or it’s used on patients with a congenital “pixy” deformity,” explains Dr. Esho.

CHIN AND JAW

A little filler in the chin and along the jawline can go towards reshaping and defining the face.

“It balances the facial profile,” explains Dr. Esho. “Lower facial contouring has been one of the most popular treatments this year. It can strengthen or soften the chin to look more or less masculine when you inject fillers into specific points.”

HANDS

Hands are one area that can really reveal your age and if they’re not taken care of, can be one of the first places we experience loss of volume and pigmentation.

“Dermal fillers can be used to fill in the guttering in the hands, which happens as we age and is what makes hands look skeletal.”

FEET

“This has been dubbed the ‘Stiletto Lift’,” says Dr. Esho. “It’s the use of fillers, combined with Botox, to increase the cushioning of the fat pads on the feet, which can alleviate pain and help women who like to wear heels regularly. I would approach with caution if considering this. Pain is a protective mechanism. It alerts you that your shoes are causing issues with your feet so to eliminate this warning sign shouldn’t be a routine procedure.”

VAGINA

“Fillers have even been used for aesthetic reasons on the vagina and some patients even notice an increase in sexual arousal post-procedure, but I would encourage anyone thinking of doing this to seek out an *extremely* experienced practitioner,” says Dr. Esho.
