Luckily, we've enlisted the help of hairstylist to the stars, Jawad Maphoto, to share his top 4 hair tips. Jawad has tamed and primped the manes of Mzansi celebs like Bonang Matheba, Minnie Dlamini, Jessica Nkosi, and Kefilwe Mabote, to name a few.
So, here are Jawad's major hair 'do keys:
Tip 1
Always keep in mind what kind of event you are attending. If it's a horseracing event, you would need to don a fascinator. While traditional red carpet events and parties give you the opportunity to create statement hair look and allow you to incorporate eye-catching hair accessories.
Tip 2
I love bobs, but I find that most of the time it is very difficult to accessorize with a fascinator. So I would suggest that you wear a longer length hairstyle.
Tip 3
Loose curls, braids, and headwraps work well to bring any red carpet look together. Plus, they're really easy to achieve when you're strapped for time.
Tip 4
Buns and fascinators are always best for social events like the Sun Met.
