The 31-year old American influencer, widely known as Ashlee Janae, had just celebrated her birthday in Zanzibar when her boyfriend proposed while they were on Safari. Just 4 days later, news of her death by suicide broke the internet

Following the announcement, fans took to social media to express that they didn’t believe that she was suicidal and suspected foul play. Police later confirmed that she had indeed died by suicide following a heated argument with her fiance which led to them being placed in seperate rooms at the Zuri Zanzibar resort where they had been staying for their vacation.
