Take a trip down memory lane with the Tex cake-in-a-cup recipe, warming both the heart and the stomach. In a perfect balance of crispy, delicious wafer enveloped in creamy Nestlé chocolate, Nestlé TEX is a delightful offering with the right amount of texture with its unique combination of wafer biscuit and aerated chocolate, making each bite light and crispy.

The recipe transforms what usually takes over 30 minutes into a quick and easy 4 step bake. The microwaveable cake-in-a-cup introduces you to a new, unorthodox way to enjoy Nestlé TEX.

Here’s how...


  • Microwaveable chocolate cake-in-a-mug mix (70g mix for one serving)
  • Whipped cream
  • Milk (low fat)
  • X2 21g TEX crushed

Items Needed:

  • Microwave
  • Mixing bowl
  • Mixing wooden spoon
  • Wisk

Recipe Instructions:

  1. Crush the 2 21g TEX
  2. Measure 75ml low fat milk into a mixing bowl
  3. Empty contents of the cake-in-a-mug sachet into mixing bowl, add ¾ portion of the crushed TEX and mix until you achieve a smooth batter
  4. Pour mixture into ¾ of the microwaveable cup
  5. Microwave on high for 1min (be careful not overcook)
  6. Remove from the microwave and allow to stand for 30 seconds
  7. Layer with the whipped cream and top it off with the remaining TEX and enjoy!
