MTV VMAs 2018: See The Full List of Nominations

The 2018 MTV VMAs nominations have been revealed, and the list includes artists who broke new ground—and broke records—all year. Leading the pack is Cardi B with 10 nominations, mostly for her collaboration with Bruno Mars, “Finesse.” Trailing closely after her are The Carters (Bey and Jay, obvi) with eight nominations for “APES**T.” Childish Gambino—real name Donald Glover—and Drake both have seven nominations, for “This Is America” and “God’s Plan,” respectively.

MTV made headlines last year when it dropped gendered categories from its Movie and TV Awards and the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), meaning all male, female, and nonbinary artists will compete in the same award categories. The Best Female Video and Best Male Video awards are now combined into one category: Artist of the Year. And that’s not the only change: A new category—Video With a Message—has been added to celebrate videos that inspired viewers to stand up and fight injustice.
