The brand behind South African Fashion Week 2019’s make-up looks

W. Beauty is once again SA Fashion Week’s (SAFW) key beauty partner and their looks have been nothing but iconic thus far.

SAFW has been running since the 23rd of October 2019 in Sandton, Johannesburg and is set to end on the 31st of October 2019.

Celebrated makeup artists, Renee de Wit, Kimlyn Sisam, Lindy Lin, Clara Chimeloane, and Precious Xaba have been backstage creating showstopping looks using W. Beauty products.

The brand is renowned for their commitment to producing cruelty-free and vegan-friendly cosmetics. W. BEAUTY’s range of makeup, including their 100% vegan collaboration with global makeup artist Sir John, speaks to the growing consciousness and demand for ethical and on-trend beauty.

According to Lucilla Booyzen, director of the country’s premier platform for South African design, the immediate goal, in partnering with W.Beauty, is to initiate a process of collaboration and joint problem-solving with the designer community and the broader clothing industry behind the vision of establishing a local fashion ethos that supports people, the environment, creativity and profit in equal measures.

“In this, we subscribe to the values articulated by the international Fashion Revolution movement and support the ground-breaking work that this organisation is doing to turn the enormous power and influence of fashion into a positive force,” Booyzen said.
