In Tweets: South Africa remembers Mama Africa Miriam Makeba

Miriam Makeba, nicknamed Mama Africa, was a South African-born singer, songwriter, actress, UN goodwill ambassador, and civil-rights activist. Lulama Zenzile African News Agency (ANA) Today (09.11.18) marks the 10th anniversary of  Zinzile Miriam Makeba's death. The singer-songwriter is best known for her hit songs, Pata Pata and Qongqothwane (The Click Song), as well as being an activist and UN ambassador. On November 9 2008, Makeba passed away after suffering a heart attack, following a performance in Italy. In remembrance of the Contemporary Afro-Pop singer, Mzansi took to Twitter to share what they loved most about her.
