As the Heineken® UEFA Champions League 2025 campaign draws to its epic conclusion, Heineken® invites fans to experience the final at one of the most anticipated events of the year – the Heineken® House Ultimate Champions League Final Viewing Experience. This event marks the spectacular closing chapter in a season-long campaign that reimagined fan engagement, technology, and connections. Blending world-first innovation, legendary icons and innovative football experiences across South Africa, the Heineken® 2025 UEFA Champions League campaign was incomparable, and the Heineken® House Ultimate Champions League fan viewing experience is the perfect way to celebrate the Championship game.
“The Heineken® House Ultimate Champions League Final Viewing Experience Final is designed to give South African fans a taste of the final matchday atmosphere with Heineken’s signature flair and is the only other place to be if you are not going to the final in Munich, Germany at the Allianz Arena. In 2025, the Heineken® UEFA Champions League campaign kicked off with a bold question: What if your phone could connect you to a community? The answer was the world-first Heineken Social Screen that turned 289 mobile phones into a giant screen in a 17x17 grid configuration. Built from the ground up in just three months, the activation was the result of technical ingenuity. Custom-designed Wi-Fi infrastructure managed the bandwidth and complexity of nearly 300 devices, while wireless charging and free data ensured fans could stay engaged for the full match. Social Screen was launched at Hyde Park Corner in Johannesburg and transformed solo match viewing into a social celebration and served as a reminder that football is best experienced together.
Then came the Gameplan, a sit-together at a real hardcore fan’s home with football legend Lucas Radebe, and the talented Julia Stuart, FreshByCaddy and Gaisang Noge. Followed by the moment that brought history closer to home: The UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour. Joined by German football icon, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Heineken® toured the Champions League Trophy across the country, hosting incredible events in Cape Town and Johannesburg. The tour kicked off in Cape Town with a stakeholder brunch, media Q&A, and a grand trophy handover at the iconic Zeitz MOCAA.
The tour continued to Johannesburg with a media conference at Melrose Arch, a fan meet-and-greet, and an exclusive black-tie Gala Dinner at Steyn City creating connections between South Africa’s football community and the UEFA Champions League legacy. Schweinsteiger, reflecting on the experience, described South African fans as “incredible,” adding that their passion and hospitality would stay with him long after the tour ended.
Guests can expect a rich atmosphere that echoes the key pillars of the campaign: legacy, innovation, and togetherness. From subtle nods to the Trophy Tour in the décor to elements of the Social Screen experience that allow fans to re-live the magic, every touchpoint at Heineken House Ultimate Champions League Final Viewing Experience is a tribute to the journey that has led to this night.
