Renowned South African designer David Tlale captivated the audience at the BRICS+ Fashion Summit with his extraordinary fashion show. The BRICS+ Fashion Summit is one of the biggest and diverse events of the year, held from November 28 to December 2 in Moscow. It brought together fashion experts, heads of associations, and founders of Fashion weeks from over 60 countries, as well as became an international fashion hub for designers from 12 nations to showcase their collections and celebrate cultural diversity.
Against the picturesque backdrop of the historic Pashkov House, David Tlale showcased his expertise in fashion. The show had an unusual opening as models walked down the catwalk simultaneously, and only then started showcasing the looks one by one. Tlale's vibrant collection featured an array of casual and eveningwear, embellished with flamboyant prints, intricate cuts, and remarkable proportions. Blurring the lines between womenswear and menswear, Tlale's designs seamlessly merged both realms in line with the global fashion agenda.
From translucent lace embellished with sequins to men confidently donning corsets and puffy blouses with bows, Tlale's collection epitomized his boundless creativity. The show transitioned from lighter tones to bolder prints, culminating in striking monochrome black. Tlale's multi-layered floor-length dresses for women and striking prints captivated the audience, while the elegance of the all-black ensembles left an indelible impression.
In addition to South Africa, the BRICS+ Fashion Summit showcased designers from various countries worldwide, including SADAELS from Argentina, Arzu Kaprol from Turkey, 陳宇CHNNYU from China, and Lucas Leão from Brazil. These designers used their exquisite creations to present their countries' cultural heritage and artistic vision to the international audience.
The BRICS+ Fashion Summit, held from November 28 to December 2, was a groundbreaking international event that brought together delegates from 60 countries. Combining a dynamic Business program with Fashion Shows, a B2B showroom, and a special Fashion Intensive course, the Summit showcased the best of global fashion and promoted cross-cultural exchange.
