An unexpected yet thoughtful element of the evening was the series of guest interviews captured and shared on Instagram Stories without sound. The silent clips echoed the event’s “slow moments” philosophy, encouraging viewers to pause, watch, and absorb the atmosphere without distraction, elevating the theme in a subtle but memorable way.

Chef James

Talking guests through the Nonna Riviera offering, Chef James said,“Made out of real food, from scratch with every order and every dish, Nonna Maria was born in 1936, still with us. And I dare say that her only regret tonight is that she's not here with us. She's at home, relaxing but I'm sure, she'll get an update on how everything went tonight. A beautiful woman who instilled food and passion into her children, grandchildren, great grand children, her guests, and her growing family. Her son and Head Chef, George who oversees all the Nonna's around the country started Riviera in their teens. They were once skinny, and the reason why they're not standing next to me tonight is because the same can no longer be said, (giggles) at least the food is good. For starters, they're being prepared right now, and when we serve them to you, we've curated these pairings to highlight the Singleton notes, please notice how citrus brightens seafood, or earthy flavours and deepen the whisky's warmth.”
