Mamma Mia 2: What we know so far… 💃🏼🌞🐚

Mamma Mia 2 has begun filming in Croatia and we are pretty damn excited.

Ten years after the first film’s release, Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan and Colin Firth all confirmed that they’d be regrouping for the sequel,  Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again.

Now, Lily James has been spotted on set. The 28-year-old actress will be playing a younger version of Meryl Streep’s character Donna Sheridan. Her love interest will be new actor, Josh Dylan. Rumour has it, Josh plays a younger version of Bill, a Swedish sailor who could possibly be the father of Sophie (Amanda Seyfried).

According to  DeadlineMamma Mia: Here We Go Again! ‘goes back and forth in time to show how relationships forged in the past resonate in the present.’ That would explain the need for younger versions of the main characters then.

The rumoured release date is 20th July 2018, and ABBA hits that weren’t used in the first film, including  Knowing Me, Knowing You and  Waterloo, will reportedly feature on the song list.

We. Can’t. Wait.
