Our current favourite TV Love Story just ended and we are gutted ๐Ÿ’”

Favs Rakgadi Kedibone and Malume Nsizwa from The River Image DSTV

If there is one love story that we were following religiously its that of Kedibone ( Tsholo Matshaba) and Malume Nsizwa (Meshack Mavuso Magabane) on 1Magic telenovela The River. These two were so in love and overcome a lot to find happiness. Their story made us believe in love, and in Friday's episode, Nsizwa has passed on.

He and Kedibone had a great dinner, where he asked her to marry him and they rested, as Nsizwa prepared for his first dialysis treatment. When Kedibone wakes up to leave, she and Mabutho try to wake up Nsizwa and we find out that he has died. We are not sure why the creators of The River are doing this to us, but this love story is one we will always remember

Here's why;

Their love story had us hooked

We loved Rakgadi's goofiness

The way Kedibone would smile at Nsizwa. The way she instantly becomes like a teenager falling in love for the first time. That shyness and blushing she had, made us get into our feels and believe that type of love exists.

The respect

The way the two characters expressed their love for each other had so much respect and purity. We Stan.

Through thick and thin

Kedibone revealed her past dark secrets, fearing that Nsizwa would leave her, but he stayed. Nsizwa revealed he had kidney failure and that he would die soon, he was ready to break up things with Kedibone, but she stayed. They fought through thick and thin together.

A beautiful love story

In a world where we often see love very sexualised it was a breath of fresh air to see a love story that wasn't based on sex scenes or sex symbols. Their story was just about two people in love and taking a chance on love. It was pure love, and we were obsessed with it.

Seeing love from a different angle

It's not often we get to see stories about love from older people, yes the actors who play Kedibone and Nsizwa are not old, but seeing a love story from the perspective of people who are older and how they manoeuvre it was a breath of fresh air on our TV screens.
