Glamour: How does it feel to be at the TikTok Sub-Saharan Africa Awards tonight?
Lordkez: I’m very excited. I’ve never been to the TikTok Awards before, so I’m really honoured to be here.
Glamour: Your song, Aweh is doing amazing. How has the reception been?
Lordkez: It’s been insane, especially on TikTok. We have over 300,000 videos on this song, which for me is unbelievable! I’m super grateful.
Glamour: The TikTok Awards celebrate African talent. What’s your take on TikTok hosting a space like this?
Lordkez: I think it speaks to the youth because so many young people are on the app. It’s important to celebrate African creatives doing amazing things, and I’m grateful we have a platform like TikTok to do that.
Glamour: Please share some of your event highlights?

Glamour: There’s a shift towards collaboration at the moment. You also collaborated with Casper on Aweh. Talk to us about the power of collaboration?
Lordkez: Collaboration is so important for musicians. What Casper has done for my song is incredible! He’s opened up my music to a different audience, and I’m so thankful for that.
Glamour: What’s your message to the youth going into December 2026?
Lordkez: Be yourself, be authentic, and if you have a dream, go for it. Also, be safe this December!
Glamour: Your message to the Glamour women?
Lordkez: Choose you! I’m really living in that era right now. Learning to choose yourself is so important.
