Queenz Eye's comeback is redefining K-pop with a new era of style and music

In the ever-evolving world of K-pop, Queenz Eye is leading the charge. With their striking visuals, genre-blending sound, and undeniable charm, the six-member girl group is stepping confidently into a new era with purpose and a vibrant energy. As they usher in this next chapter, Queenz Eye is ready to paint a bold new picture of who they are — reflecting both growth and creative freedom.

“I see a scene bursting with colour, drops of paint in different colours and sizes and shapes spreading in water. It’s both vivid and dynamic.” That’s how Won Chae, leader of K-Pop girl group Queenz Eye, describes what flashes in front of her eyes when she thinks of the word ‘music.’ The image she conjures feels like a fitting entry point into Queenz Eye’s world—fluid, expressive, and bursting with individuality. Since announcing their comeback as Season 2 earlier in July 2025, the six members of Queenz Eye have built something kaleidoscopic together. Their first mini album, released on August 7th, is titled PRISM EP.01. Like a prism refracting light, Queenz Eye is ready to reveal the many shades of each member, and show how their distinct vocals and visuals blend into a striking whole.

Queenz Eye’s vibrant energy blossoms in their recent photoshoot. Against the striking red, blue, and yellow hues of the backdrop, the members show off their youthful energy dressed in colourful sporty-meets-lovely looks, and hip and chic Y2K-inspired styles. The shoot feels like a swatch book come to life, each look a preview of the vivid personalities that shape Queenz Eye. From sweet and cute to sassy and cheeky, Queenz Eye explores a variety of moods that show off their multicolored charms.

Six Brushstrokes, One Canvas

If Queenz Eye were a painting, each member would be a completely different paint colour. Their personalities, styles, and voices mix like distinct hues on a shared canvas.

In describing one another as colours, everyone agrees that the member who embodies bold primary colors is leader Won Chae. Rapper Ah Yoon points to Won Chae’s role in the group– “With her charisma and powerful performances, she makes the group shine even brighter.” Meanwhile, Seo Vin describes how Won Chae personifies vividness: “As the leader, she is always clear and decisive, and even her personality is bright and lively.”On the other end of the spectrum, soft pastel tones are represented by Seo Vin and Kiirii, according to the members. “Seo Vin has a bubbly yet gentle charm that brings a fresh energy to the team,” notes Ah Yoon, while Seo Vin herself picks Kiirii as pastel colors incarnate: “Kiirii has a calm and soft personality that fits the mood of pastel. She also wears a lot of pastel clothes which look great on her.” Like brushstrokes layered with care, each member brings their own style and personality, yet together Queenz Eye creates a picture that feels complete.

That sense of harmony is what powers Queenz Eye forward in their new chapter. “Each of us came from different places, and walked different paths before, but now we’re headed toward the same goal,” explains Kiirii. “So when we came together, the mood became even more exciting and energetic.” The road ahead feels more meaningful now, shaped by each member’s shared determination to walk it side by side. “This time, it’s a journey that the six of us are taking together,” Kiirii shares.

Kiirii in particular, hailing from Thailand, began the journey in a slightly different way. About her beginnings with Queenz Eye as the only non-Korean member, Kiirii recalls, “I was a bit worried about adjusting at first, but as I spent more time with the members, I was able to settle in gradually.”Now, she’s a natural part of the group’s everyday rhythm, often sparking laughter with the unique charm she brings to the group. The members have embraced her fully, even mimicking her accent with affection and repeating her signature expressions. “Things I say without thinking end up becoming catchphrases among us,” Kiirii says. “‘Always come down’ or ‘That’s enough!’ are a few examples.” Seo Vin has another detail to add to the list of Kiirii quirks: “She has this special way of saying our names, which are totally her signature.”

Beyond the affectionate jokes and catchphrases, Kiirii has also expanded the group’s perspective in meaningful ways. “The members often ask me how to say certain phrases in Thai,” Kiirii shares. Seo Vin adds other instances where the group as a whole has grown from her presence. “I really think Kiirii adds a special color to our group. Thanks to Kiirii, our view has definitely widened and we’re exposed to more diversity,” Seo Vin explains. “We get help from Kiirii learning not just Thai but also English and other languages” And learning new languages always leads to more fun. “Sometimes we mix in English when talking to Kiirii, and we’ll use English in a funny way. Those funny phrases become a meme between us.”

Dressed Like a Work of Art

It’s these small, colorful exchanges that have brought Queenz Eye closer as a group. The more they share with each other—language, laughter, inside jokes—the more vivid their bond becomes. That sense of connection took on new texture during their photoshoot, where the group showed off their bright and fun spirit through the sporty-lovely and Y2K-inspired stylings.

In one word, the looks screamed “Youth!” according to Won Chae. “I loved how well the outfits represented the energy and freshness of Queenz Eye’s new beginning,” she enthuses. “The hair, makeup, accessories, and even small items like keyrings all helped express our vibrant and lively mood, so it was easy to do the photoshoot in with a cheery and confident attitude!” Kiirii agrees that the styling helped with embodying the concept of the photoshoot. “The outfits especially helped set the mood when we were posing or working on our expressions, so we could express ourselves even better.”

Off-camera, too, their styles say a lot. Seo Vin’s personal closet is full of every shade of the rainbow. “I love to try out different colors and styles, so my closet is the most colorful of all the members.” Ah Yoon supports this statement, observing “Seo Vin is always experimenting with various colors, and I think she likes colorful fashion in general,” while also noting that Jin Yul is the direct opposite. “Jin Yul usually prefers simple black and white styles.” Jin Yul admits that the dominant color in her closet is indeed white. “These days I’m trying to experiment more, but even just a few months ago my closet was full of black and white clothes.” Funnily enough, Seo Vin and Jin Yul’s closets are next to each other, so “it looks like my clothes are stealing all of the color off Jin Yul clothes,” quips Seo Vin. For youngest member Seo Ha, her palette leans pastel. “My closet is mostly full of white and pink. I think white is a color that goes well with anyone, and pink is my favorite color.”

Sound As a Study in Color

If white is the starting point in Jin Yul and Seo Ha’s closets, it also sets the tone for how Queenz Eye imagines their sound. Seo Vin compares music to the color white, because music can both wash away everything and leave a peaceful emptiness, and also serve as a blank canvas filled with endless possibilities. “I think that might be the power of music. Notes are written on a blank score to complete a piece of music. Like that, to me music is the color white, a starting point where you can draw and feel infinite things,” Seo Vin muses.

For Won Chae, the color of music changes constantly, depending on “every single thing, like what songs I listen to these days, what I’m eating or how I’m feeling.” Some music makes her see a floaty sky blue, while other times it conjures heavy and deep colors like burgundy. “I think it’s because music is always with me, from daily routines like taking a shower or going on a walk, to little hobbies and my career as well. Music feels like my best friend, or a reflection of myself.”

The power of music to define identity comes to life in Queenz Eye’s debut album ‘PRISM EP.01.’ With a fresh synth-punk sound and dynamic performances, the album channels the group’s signature energy. “The synth-punk base of the album helps maximize the synergy between the rich sounds and our dynamic energy on stage,” says Ah Yoon. “I’d say that the biggest strength of this album is how our lively performance and facial expressions match the mood of the song, giving the audience a great experience in both sight and sound.”

Queenz Eye members associate the sound of their first mini album with the color sky blue, a shade that reflects both cool summer vibes and the feeling of soaring toward something greater. “When our fans listen to ‘PRISM EP.01,’ I think they’ll immediately think of the sky blue of the album cover,” says Jin Yul. “Our music expresses the free feeling of flying high into the sky, and has a cool and refreshing mood that helps forget all about the summer heat.” Seo Ha echoes her words, adding, “I hope fans who listen to the songs will soar toward their dreams, and feel the vibes of excitement, thrill, and joy. Our music has an upbeat feeling that reminds me of the ocean in summer, blue and cool and full of life!”

Painting Together on a Growing Canvas

The colours and emotions in their music reflect how their individual energies blend together, a blend that grows stronger because of the deep trust and connection they share. Jin Yul shares how, despite the demanding schedules, their passion never wavers. “Seeing how everyone is always cheerful and energetic and thinking about how to improve ourselves, I can really see that everyone is really passionate about this moment and is pouring all their hearts into the group! Because of that, each member is even more dear and precious to me.”

And trust grows stronger through moments of shared vulnerability. Seo Ha recalls opening up during their debut preparations, discovering that even the brightest smiles carry hidden worries. “While preparing for the debut with the unnies (older members), we would often talk about what was troubling us. Seo Vin unnie always seems positive on the outside, but when she shared her worries I realized that she just hadn’t been showing all her concerns. I felt thankful that she shared them with us, and also sorry for not noticing sooner.”

With a foundation of honesty and connection between them, Queenz Eye is ready to explore new colors, sounds, and styles together. Won Chae dreams of diving into “Vivid and colorful 90s vintage style, or hip-hop concepts,” while Kiirii is dying to try out “a rock star concept!”

With each new chapter, Queenz Eye will paint their six unique voices and colors onto an ever-expanding canvas, creating a dazzling masterpiece full of passion, growth, and endless possibilities.
