How to train like a star

Summer is around the corner! And in case you haven’t gotten round to getting your bikini body on point, we’ve asked some celebrity friends to share their fitness advice and tips.

“People have this belief that you shouldn’t eat before or after training and in between training days you shouldn’t eat a lot. But the body needs fuel (food) to burn the calories (fat) and if you don’t feed it, it can’t work with you to reach your goals. So, stop starving yourself ladies! Eat foods high in protein, drink lots of water, stretch and roll out if you can.”

“No matter what you try, get yourself into the rhythm of training. The body can only do what it’s taught, but you need to make the choice to teach it – so choose you. Oh, and drink lots of water – it is our life source after all!”

“The easiest way to keep the kilos off and stay in shape is to do what you love. If you love dancing, then join a dance class. If you love hiking then look for some scenic trail routes. Fitness and weight loss aren’t gym-dependent. When you do what sets your soul on fire it won’t feel like hard work, but like fun!”

– Leigh-Anne Williams, TV and radio presenter
