ICYMI: Inside Beauty Revolution Festival 2020

One of the boldest beauty festivals in Africa took place on 13 and 14 March at the Sandton Convention Centre.

The two-day festival featured makeup artist masterclasses hosted by the likes of Rushana Isaacs, Marco Louis, Mihlali Ndamase and Kandy Kane. Queen Sono actress Pearl Thusi was in attendance and hosted a yoga training class.

Attendees had a chance to mingle with the best in beauty, Queens we stan for such as Pearl Thusi and artist, Rowlene, who performed alongside a few of SA’s hottest Tik Tok stars who gave a tutorial of a viral dance as well as shop the world’s biggest brands in beauty, lifestyle and personal care.

Part of the festivities were meaningful discussions by powerhouse panellists such as ThickLeeYonce, Lady Skollie, Thando Hopa, Yoliswa Mqoco, Leanne Dlamini and many more.

‘We still can’t get over the magic of it all. Thank you to everyone who came out to support our beauty revolution and help us create an immersive and purposeful experience into beauty and culture in South Africa,’ said Yasmin Kathoria, co-founder of Beauty Revolution. 

According to the event organisers the annual festival is an Instagram and shopping heaven but also focuses on creating a strong platform for beauty with a purpose, and space for all shades and shapes in between.
