Like the true Queen that she is, Beyoncé has presented her fans with a gift of their own in celebration of her 37th birthday, which she celebrated with family in Sardinia, Italy on September 4.

The notoriously private star, who has been known to steer clear from interviews, has once again revealed her vulnerable side, following up her surprisingly revealing cover story for the coveted September issue of Vogue with a letter to her fans published on both her website and Instagram account.
The letter, which sees Beyoncé reflect on the “monumental” year that was and take the time to thank God and her Bey Hive for their support and well wishes, was accompanied by a series of 169 images depicting a year’s worth of intimate moments inside what she titled “Your Bitch at 36.”
“At 36, I became a new mother of 3. I breastfed twins,” the star, who welcomed daughter Rumi and son Sir on June 13, 2017, began before confirming rumours that she and husband Jay-Z had in fact renewed their vows on their 10th wedding anniversary in April.
“I renewed my vows with my husband of ten years. I came back home to the stage to do Coachella, after pregnancy. Then my husband and I released our album together, Everything Is Love. And we’ve been touring with our family around the world, and loving it.”

Going on to show her appreciation for the birthday wishes she’s received, Beyoncé continued, “This year has been monumental for me. I thank God for everyone in my life. Thank you for all the positivity and for the beautiful birthday wishes.”
“I’m looking forward to continuing to learn from my past, living in the present, and surrendering to the future,” she added, before signing off, “I love you, Hive. B”.
The images Beyoncé shared on her site—picturing everything from street style moments to never before seen loved-up family photos — were complemented by a series of pictures she shared on Instagram showing her celebrating her birthday from the Mediterranean coast in a Lisa Marie Fernandez blouse and skirt, Adam Selman x Lespecs sunglasses and a Nannacay bag, complete with a belly chain and straw hat.
As Jay-Z takes a picture of his visibly glowing wife cutting into a cake that reads “Happy B’Day Mrs Carter”, it’s clear the two have put their past worries behind them, moved forward with their joint album Everything Is Love and are living their best lives as a family of five.
