Solange’s collab that no one saw coming

Ikea seems to be everyone’s new favourite collaborative partner and to be honest, we don’t blame them. What does surprise us, is who the brand’s latest collaboration partner. An announcement on the website of Solange Knowles’ (yes, Beyoncé’s sister) design company Saint Heron, surprised people with a futuristic collaboration between the singer-songwriter with the Swedish home furnishings company IKEA to produce a custom product line.

Saint Heron is excited to announce an upcoming creative collaboration with @IKEAtoday, exploring architectural and design objects with multifunctional use. Stay tuned for more information! #saintheron pic.twitter.com/hNsWUPk28c

So what’s in the Solange x Ikea collaboration? According to the elusive Twitter post, it is set to explore “architectural and design objects with multifunctional use.” To be honest we’re not entirely sure what this means. A multi-functional bed? Chairs with built in desks? Who knows but we’re certain it’s going to be genius.

Even though there’s very little information so far, Twitter is already excited:
