The FIX’s “Local is Leka” initiative seeks to showcase local manufacturing, uplift communities, support local skills developments and empower South African youth.
For this campaign, 8 local designers have been mobilised to create collections using window banners from the FIX’s past monthly marketing campaigns. The FIX will then host an Upcycling Designer Showcase to exhibit this talent.
The objective of this initiative is to align with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), supported by The Foschini Group (TFG), and create awareness about the brand's recycling, upcycling and repurposing initiatives through a fashion lens.
The showcase seeks to provide a platform for designers to showcase their talent, align them with learnerships and development programmes within TFG, and scale their talents to greater heights.
