Butter yellow is the colour of the Spring/Summer 25 season.
This buttery soft melt in your mouth hue has been all over our Instagram feeds under the hashtag European summer. Now it's our turn to enjoy this colour trend as we've officially entered our new season. From boho chic inspired dresses and tops to classic shirts and t/shirts we have a variety of styling options to help us incorporate this trend into our everyday wardrobe. Not forgetting our accessories to help test the waters for those of us who are not yet convinced. Hailed as the new neutral the runways were filled with looks to emulate this spring/summer.
The versatility of this colour is what makes it a worthwhile investment. Instead of opting for a classic white shirt why not try one in this hue as it complements blue and obviously white quite well too. Chocolate brown and butter yellow are another great combination. Especially since Chocolate brown and Mocha Mousse were the colours for winter. Think of a chocolate brown suit paired with butter yellow accessories. Adidas also released a chocolate brown and yellow striped sneaker the SL72 OG sneaker a while back proving this colour combo works.
Chloe gave us boho chic options to try and we couldn't agree more. The collection was filled with flowing lightweight fabrics to keep you cool, making movement effortless and giving the effect of a modern day earth child styled with wedges. Wide leg linen trousers with matching shirt is a look I will be investing in paired with white accessories.
Kate Hudson gave us the perfect butter yellow evening dress in the movie, How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days. It's been a number of years since the movie was released but we can all agree a more perfect silhouette in that hue has not been found.
