Copenhagen Fashion Week: Our favourite street style looks from the SS26 Ready-to-wear shows

Copenhagen Fashion week is officially underway and with each fashion week we not only look forward to the designers interpretation of the upcoming season but the unofficial fashion show- the street style images that emerge before the shows. Influencers, celebrities and the fashion crowd strut down the streets on their way to the presentations hoping to be profiled for their look. Achieving recognition for one's sartorial choices on these sites is considered a huge complement. The SS26 fashion week season has just begun but we've seen the return of some beloved trends and a cool new styling trick to turn your everyday jeans and t-shirt look to something more interesting.

This season, key trends included balloon pants, fringing, and the layered styling of jeans or trousers with a knee-length skirt. Do we have The Row to thank for this styling tip? Who knows but one thing I do know, the fashion girls were all for it. As the excitement for the new season shows were palpable we enjoyed the re-emergence of another beloved print trend- polka dots. This playful and feminine print was reinterpreted in various ways, offering a contemporary update for 2025. Whether incorporated head-to-toe or as a subtle accent, the return of polka dots is undeniable.

Following the popularity of the barrel jeans, trousers now exhibit a similar voluminous, balloon-like silhouette. Cotton and or linen pants have taken on exaggerated proportions but a lot more chic. This silhouette is not only comfortable but styled correctly will ensure you look stylish and cool. Fringe is back not only for your apparel but extends to your accessories too as seen below.
