On the 19th of July, Johannesburg shimmered with elegance as GLAMOUR’s Most GLAMOUROUS Awards returned for another dazzling ceremony. Set against the backdrop of the picture-perfect Langhams, the event drew South Africa’s style stars, creatives, and tastemakers for a night of celebration, fashion, and fierce glam.
This year’s theme, gold and pink, was honoured with intention and flair. From dramatic metallics to soft blush tones, guests embraced the brief with imaginative interpretations, delivering head-turning looks that effortlessly merged modern glamour with local flair. The carpet was alive with texture, movement, and detail: feathers, sequins, crystal embellishments, and sculptural silhouettes took centre stage.
What made the evening even more memorable was the showcase of South African fashion excellence. Designers, stylists, and creatives proved that local talent can command the same attention and applause as international red carpets. The fashion on display didn’t just follow trends, it created them. From couture-inspired gowns to edgy, street-style fusion, the night became a canvas for bold self-expression.
Standout favourites included voluminous gowns, slick tailored suits in pastel hues, gold-dusted eye makeup, and accessories that told their own stories. Each outfit was a celebration of individuality, culture, and creativity.
More than just an awards show, the evening was a testament to the power of fashion to unite, express, and inspire. It reminded us why South Africa continues to be a vibrant and influential force in the global style scene, and why GLAMOUR’s Most GLAMOUROUS remains the ultimate fashion moment of the year.
