Natural hair royalty stepped out in style as iconic natural hair care brand, Jabu Stone, unveiled its brand-new African Black Soap range at the ultra-modern Hotel Sky in Sandton, and yes, the vibes were immaculate.
The star-studded launch brought together natural hair lovers, beauty influencers, and media tastemakers to experience the next evolution of the homegrown brand. Known for over three decades of pioneering natural hair care in South Africa, Jabu Stone is now turning its attention to scalp health and gentle cleansing with a product line rooted in the age-old beauty secrets of West Africa.
Inspired by traditional Ghanaian and Nigerian black soap recipes, the new range blends centuries of wisdom with modern formulation to deliver products that cleanse, moisturise, and promote scalp wellness – all while honouring the authenticity of African beauty rituals.
“We wanted to go back to the roots – literally,” said founder Jabu Stone, who’s been at the forefront of the natural hair movement since the ’90s. “This range is about healing the scalp, nourishing the hair, and reminding people of the power in our traditional ingredients.”
The tone of the event was giving 'celebration meets culture.' Attendees were treated to a sensory experience, sampling the luxe textures and earthy aromas of the new collection, and of course, snapping pics under the glowy Sandton skyline.
With this new chapter, Jabu Stone proves once again that when it comes to natural hair care, African beauty leads the way.
