In what promises to be one of the most soulful musical highlights of the year, Grammy‑winning American singer, songwriter and poet Jill Scott is bringing her To Whom This May Concern World Tour to South Africa this November.
The tour, supporting her first full studio album in over a decade, To Whom This May Concern, spans an expansive 36‑date run across North America, Europe, and the UK before culminating in two headline stops on the African continent. South African audiences will get a chance to experience her powerful presence live when she performs in Pretoria on 7 November 2026 at the SunBet Arena and in Cape Town on 11 November 2026 at the GrandWest Arena.
Scott last graced local stages in 2024 as part of the DStv Delicious Festival, where her neo‑soul classics and magnetic stage presence had audiences singing along in full voice. Since then, excitement has only grown with the release of her new album earlier this year — a reflective work that blends her poetic lyricism with contemporary collaborations across R&B and hip‑hop.
Scott’s performances have always been defined by their emotional depth and a sense of communal experience, elements she has long championed in her music. This tour promises to build on that legacy, with a focus on live, residency‑style shows that place her commanding vocals and band at the heart of the experience.
For many local fans, her return feels like both a homecoming and a celebration of the soul, jazz, and R&B traditions that have defined her career.
With tickets heading on sale this March and anticipation building across social media, the South African leg of the To Whom This May Concern tour is shaping up to be one of the year’s anticipated musical moments.
