Marble Cape Town, the landmark rooftop dining destination at the V&A Waterfront, is adding even more colour to winter with the launch of Seven Colour Sundays Brunch.
Thanks to the roaring flames of Marble’s signature open fire at the V&A Waterfront, winter weekends are about to get warmer. Seven Colour Sundays Brunch launches on Sunday, 5 July, bringing a vibrant celebration of food, music and family to the harbour-front restaurant.
Inspired by the beloved South African tradition of “7 Colours” – the joyful, colourful plates that define Sunday meals across the country – Marble’s Seven Colour Sundays Brunch celebrates local flavour and culture, elevated with Marble’s signature finesse.
“Seven Colour Sundays Brunch is our way of taking a much-loved South African food tradition and expressing it through the Marble lens – cooking with fire, celebrating bold flavour, and, here in Cape Town, drawing on the incredible produce and sense of place that make the local food culture so special,” says Chef David Higgs.
The series runs every Sunday from 5 July to 16 August, each themed around a different colour.
“We’ve taken everything people love about Seven Colour Sundays and reimagined it for brunch – lighter, brighter and perfectly suited to long, lazy winter days at the Waterfront,” says head chef Matt van Niekerk. “It’s still the flavours South Africans know, but with a fresh energy, a little luxury and our Marble twist.”
Marble Cape Town has also partnered with the V&A Waterfront and their creative retail marketplace, The Watershed, to profile local artisans in their campaign for the brunch series. Products by these makers are featured throughout the campaign creative to help bring each of the seven colours to life, and on the relevant Sundays, guests can view and purchase their products.
