Book review: The Hourglass Factory by Lucy Ribchester

Suffragettes, circus folk and a woman journalist named Frankie George collide in this murder mystery set in London in 1912. When Frankie’s editor gives her the chance to write a portrait on suffragette and trapeze artist Ebony Diamond, she decides to use the opportunity to prove herself as a serious reporter. But Ebony’s story turns out to be more than Frankie, or her editor, bargained for. When the famous trapeze artist disappears and two murders are committed, a wild goose chase ensues and unlikely allies come together.

Fast-paced, fun and engaging, The Hourglass Factory by Lucy Ribchester is a treat.
