How to make the most of staying safe at home

Pic: Pexel

There’s a lot of pressure, at the moment, to make the best of your time at home and do everything from learning a new language to redecorating your kitchen. And those are indeed worthy endeavours. Many of us just want to hide out on the couch for a while, though, before we plan world domination. If that's where you are at - this listicle is for you.

Binge

- Binge watch your favourite YouTube Creators and channels. Save data by downloading videos to your local device (using YouTube Offline) and ensure you don’t need to move just because your connection bugged out in that exact spot where you got comfortable. If you’re a movie buff, Google Play Movies has what you need - browse, select, pay and off you go, movies for days...

Shop (ahead)

- Load up your web browser, hit up your Search bar and do some wistful online window shopping for the non-essential things that you just might need in your life after lockdown. It can’t hurt to look, can it?

Remember, remember

- Take a (virtual) walk back through your memories with Google Photos. Have fun seeing just how many pics you can pull up using different emojis. From your dogs 🐶 to memorable meals🍝 or your favourite dance moves 💃🏼- Photos can help you find it and enjoy the moment all over again.

Read it (and don’t weep)

- Google Play Books has millions of titles, including free books, bestsellers and audiobooks to help you while away the hours in another world.
