Elizabeth Arden's Eternal Aura Eau de Parfum launch became a celebration of the women whose journeys inspire us all.
Some events introduce a new fragrance.
Others become something far more meaningful.
On Saturday, 1 August, Elizabeth Arden South Africa welcomed guests to Divine Sunset in Midrand to celebrate the launch of the new Elizabeth Arden Eternal Aura Eau de Parfum. But what unfolded was about far more than fragrance.
Under the theme "Let Your Aura Bloom," the afternoon became a heartfelt celebration of the everyday women whose courage, compassion and resilience quietly shape the lives of those around them.
In the weeks leading up to the event, South Africans were invited to nominate women whose journeys have inspired them. Hundreds of heartfelt nominations poured in, celebrating mothers, daughters, sisters, mentors, friends and colleagues whose strength had made an extraordinary difference in the lives of others.
From those nominations, more than 40 remarkable women gathered for an afternoon dedicated not only to recognising their achievements, but to honouring the journeys that shaped them.
GLAMOUR's Blooming Women
As a proud media partner of the "Let Your Aura Bloom" campaign, GLAMOUR was honoured to celebrate two women whose stories beautifully reflected the spirit of the campaign.
Dr Sheena Genes has dedicated her life to improving the lives of others through compassionate healthcare, education and community upliftment, while continuing to inspire those around her with remarkable resilience.
Kimaya Nankan has shown that ambition has no age limit. Balancing entrepreneurship with a law degree, she continues to pursue her dreams with determination, proving that believing in yourself can create extraordinary opportunities.
Together with dozens of other remarkable women celebrated throughout the afternoon, their stories reflected one powerful truth: every chapter we live, whether marked by joy, hardship, triumph or loss, shapes the woman we become.
Celebrating Every Chapter of Becoming
For Maggie Wang, Head of Marketing at Elizabeth Arden Fragrances & CDH Fragrances, Eternal Aura represents far more than a new fragrance. It continues the legacy of Elizabeth Arden herself, a woman who believed in empowering women to define their own futures.
"Elizabeth Arden was a pioneer who challenged expectations and created opportunities for women. That spirit still guides us today. Eternal Aura celebrates women not for perfection, but for their resilience, authenticity and growth because every chapter of a woman's journey deserves to be celebrated."
Reflecting on the campaign, Wang says the hundreds of nominations received served as a reminder that every woman's definition of success is unique.
"What connected every story wasn't achievement, but the strength, compassion and courage behind it. I hope every woman leaves knowing there is no single timeline for blooming. Every season of life shapes who we become."
The Courage to Keep Blooming
Guest speaker Kayise Ngqula brought that message to life through her own deeply personal story, reminding guests that healing, growth and hope often begin in the chapters we never expected to live.
"There is something incredibly healing about being witnessed by another woman who understands what it takes to keep going. Championing another woman's journey isn't simply about celebrating her achievements. It's about honouring the woman she had to become to achieve them."
Her advice for women stepping into a new season of life was both simple and powerful.
"Trust yourself enough to begin before you feel completely ready. Clarity often arrives after we move, not before. Your next chapter doesn't require perfection. It requires courage."
As the afternoon came to a close, it was clear that guests had experienced something far greater than the launch of a new fragrance.
They had witnessed women celebrating women.
They had honoured stories that deserved to be seen.
And they had been reminded that true beauty is found not in perfection, but in the courage, compassion and resilience we carry through every chapter of our lives.
Because when women celebrate one another, they don't simply recognise how far someone has come.
They inspire her to keep blooming.
