What started as a spark in 2022 ignited into a full-blown movement by 2024. Born in the heart of KwaZulu-Natal, HOLIFIT Running Club is more than just a fitness collective, it’s a mindset, a lifestyle, and a growing community dedicated to the infinite pursuit of holistic fitness. Built on the pillars of physical, mental, and spiritual growth, HOLIFIT welcomes runners of all levels into a space where consistency, accountability, and transformation thrive. Whether you're chasing a personal best or just looking to move with purpose, HOLIFIT is where your journey begins, and where a community runs with you every step of the way.
What inspired you to start your club?
HOLIFIT began as an idea in 2022 and was brought to life in 2024, driven by a passion for holistic fitness and a desire to create a community that grows physically, mentally and spiritually. With its mantra of “Infinite Pursuit of HolisticFitness”, we wanted to offer a space for all levels to gather, overcome challenges, and uplift each other. Our vision is to make HOLIFIT a household name, fostering consistency, accountability and growth. We aim to expand our programmes, collaborate with likeminded brands, and create more opportunities for members to build a stronger, healthier community.
What kind of training programmes and coaching do you offer?
We offer a free seven-day detox plan and plan to offer more tailored programmes that cater to different fitness levels. These will include guided runs, strength and mobility training, and expert-led coaching. As we continue expanding, our goal is to provide structured support that empowers every runner to progress.
How do you help your members prepare for races, and what’s your approach to injury prevention?
While we’re still developing structured programmes, we currently offer weekly runs that gradually build endurance and stamina. Our community atmosphere ensures that every runner has the support they need to stay motivated. For injury prevention, we emphasise the importance of strength training, mobility work and recovery, along with proper warm-ups and cool-downs. As we grow, we plan to introduce specialised programmes and expert guidance to take race preparation to the next level.
How do you foster a sense of community and camaraderie?
We foster an inclusive and supportive culture in which runners of all levels are welcomed and encouraged. Our weekly runs build accountability and connection, and post-run activations such as FitCamps and mindfulness sessions help us grow beyond running .Collaborations with brands bring exclusive experiences and giveaways, adding value to our community. We run with purpose, whether it’s for social impact or marathon activations, every run unites us through shared goals.
