House vocalist Nichume dies from Mental health related issues

House vocalist Nichume Siwundla known for her hit song Bhutiza with Mobi Dixon in 2017 allegedly took her own life at a friend’s apartment on Friday.

The musician's brother, Qamani Siwundla, has told one publication that the family was still coming to terms with the musician’s death. He said: “We, as a family are in absolute shock as to what has happened. Learning that your sister has succumbed to emotions and taken her own life can never rest well.We obviously are left with a lot of questions but also know that she had one of the strongest characters in the family and whatever she was feeling at that moment triggered immense hopelessness. We stand united as a family regardless. Nichume was so loved and appreciated. We’re proud of all her achievements.”

The house vocalist's death has again sent shock-waves throughout the country as she becomes yet another celebrity to take her own life.

Wow! Will it ever end? The silent beast has also already taken far too many of our brothers, our fathers, our sons and our best friends’.

Although mental health is now in the spotlight, it remains difficult for many to seek help. In some African cultures, witchcraft is often seen as the course of family and friend problems making it difficult for people to seek help.

As American actor, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson clear wrote in one of his tweets last year, ‘depression never discriminates’.The South African Depression and Anxiety group lists many forms of mental health, as a results, it becomes even much hard to notice when a loved one is suffering from mental health related issues.

Why are you idiots blaming Denise for Nichume's death?

Have you not critiqued someone's work in your life?

Must she be punished for someone not being able to take criticism?

Your fake outrage is exposing your stupidity. #RIPNichume pic.twitter.com/qtq7dT5hjT
