Spring's hottest nail trend is “one of everything"

Instagram

Come all ye indecisive: spring/summer 2019's biggest nail trend is about having them all. Pops of colour, mis-matched nail art, and clashing prints all get the thumbs up. Vogue explores why you should take a buffet-style approach to your manicure this season...

Both Jeremy Scott and Vivienne Westwood experimented with sophisticated nail art for the spring season - think a halo of colour sketched around an otherwise nude nail, while pops of bold, nearly neon colour were spotted at Tibi.

If you're keen to experiment with "considered clashing" as it were, take your cues from nail salons NAF, Townhouse or DryBy, who all have mastered slightly mismatched nail art. Instead of looking accidental, the end result is whimsical and playful, but still distinctly modern.

While adjacent hues from the colour wheel make for a pleasing gradient effect, there really are no rules, so embrace your inner maximalist. More really is more.
