South Africa Showed Up: Thousands of Women Answer the Call in the Revlon x GLAMOUR Unforgettable Cover Girl Search

Entries have officially closed, and the response has been nothing short of unforgettable.

When Revlon and GLAMOUR South Africa asked what would happen if the next face on GLAMOUR’s digital cover belonged not to a celebrity or model, but to an everyday South African woman, we hoped the country would answer. We never imagined just how loudly it would.

Last night, the Revlon x GLAMOUR Unforgettable Cover Girl Search officially closed, and after just one week, thousands of entries poured in from women across South Africa, each sharing an unforgettable moment that shaped who she is or a dream she is determined to achieve.

Confidence revealed through beauty: Women at the Revlon x GLAMOUR event enjoy makeovers that celebrate their individuality.

Launched to celebrate the new Revlon  PhotoReady™  Collection, the campaign set out to prove that confidence isn’t created by beauty but revealed through it. The search began with an exclusive invitation to the Wisdom Wellness member community, whose early entries set the tone for the stories to come, before opening nationally on 8 July. From there, the momentum was undeniable.

During the campaign’s live activation at Sandton City, women stepped up in person to enter, share their stories, and experience the PhotoReady™ Collection firsthand, turning the activation into one of the week’s standout moments. The result: an overwhelming response from South African women aged 18 to 35, real women, real confidence and thousands of stories that prove every woman has one worth seeing.

The Revlon x GLAMOUR event highlights the PhotoReady™ Collection, giving women the opportunity to experiment with products that celebrate their unique beauty.

“We set out to celebrate the confidence South African women already possess, and the response has exceeded every expectation,” says Heather Goate, Marketing Director at Revlon South Africa. “Thousands of women trusted us with their stories in a single week. That tells us this campaign struck something real.”

Say cheese! The photo booth at the Revlon x GLAMOUR Unforgettable Cover Girl Search captures the joy and empowerment of women sharing their stories.

One of these women will now go on to receive a professional makeover using the new Revlon PhotoReady™ Collection, a GLAMOUR editorial photoshoot and a feature on the digital cover of GLAMOUR South Africa, with national exposure through the Revlon x GLAMOUR campaign.

So, what happens next? The journey from entry to cover is about to begin. Our Top 20 Semi-Finalists will be announced by the end of this week, followed by the Top 5 Finalists next week, before South Africa meets its Unforgettable Cover Girl when the winner is announced on Thursday, 6 August 2026.
