Black Panther breaks the internet!

Just when you thought the  Black Panther hype was dying down, the ‘ Wakanda’ wave just keeps getting bigger. It was recently announced that the box office hit broke the record for the most tweeted movie of all time. The film, starring Chadwick Boseman and Lupita Nyong’o has, to date, received 5 million mentions on Twitter.

We think it’s safe to say that the myriad of memes and moviegoers dressed in Wakanda-inspired ensembles played a huge role in breaking the Twitter record. From Manhattan to Mzansi, Black Panther fans from across the globe came to slay (and break the internet)!

Frankly, we hope Black Panther fever never dies. The film has proven that having a diverse cast is important and much-needed in the entertainment industry and the world. Long live Wakanda!
