Bonang wants to give girls the oppurtunity to study

Local starlet and philanthropist Bonang Matheba is determined to make a difference in South Africa.

And South Africa is noticing. This past Saturday she was awarded the first 5 For Changemaker Award at the gala evening in Johannesburg and on the evening she made a special announcement.

We all know she launched a bursary fund in 2016 and with this, she aims to send girls to further their studies. She took to Instagram to announce that her bursary fund will afford 10 girls the opportunity to attend university in 2019.

Wanna know why I’m smiling so hard? Because in 2019, 10 MORE South African girls will receive the incredible opportunity of going to University! Last night, we announced our plans for the 2019 Bonang Matheba Bursary Fund Program & boooooyyyy am I excited! I’ve partnered with an incredible organization who believe in my passion of EDUCATING THE AFRICAN GIRL CHILD! So once again, I’m taking my girls to SCHOOL!! Details will be announced in December 2018! @pennies4girls you INSPIRE me Sis, remember that target we spoke about?!! It’s happening, ONE DAY AT A TIME! And on top of this, she took to Twitter to say she aims to send 300 women to university by 2021.

My target is to send 300 girls to university by 2021..... crazy, but possible!! God willing. 🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️
