Cardi B’s baby shower was ‘wild’

We just got word that the baby shower held for Cardi B was “wild.”

The ‘Be Careful’ hitmaker invited 85 of her loved ones to her lavish mansion to celebrate the impending birth of her baby girl, whom she’s expecting with her husband Offset, on Tuesday (26.06.18) but it wasn’t an ordinary shower with tea, cakes and games as everyone was knocking back shots and dancing until 4am.

A source told E! News: “It was very wild but also very beautiful. It was a special moment for Offset and Cardi B and you could tell there was a lot of love between them and in the room. They are both very excited about the baby coming and are counting down the days. Everyone was drinking heavily and dancing until 3 or 4 am. Cardi warned everyone it would be a long night and wanted everyone to party with her. Cardi and Offset were dancing on the dance floor. They were really cute.”

And to make sure all of her guests – which included her friends and family from New York City and the Dominican Republic – were fed and watered through the night, the 25-year-old rapper laid on a spread of chicken, waffles, and meatballs.

The ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker also hired out a photo booth and encouraged her guests to pose with pink stuffed animals so that she could treasure the shower forever.

But the effects of dancing all night and being heavily pregnant clearly took its toll on Cardi as she took to her Instagram account on Wednesday (27.06.18) to thank her guests for her gifts but admitted she hasn’t opened them yet because she’s been ill.

She said: “BARDI Shower

“Thank you, everybody, for coming. I really appreciated with all my heart and will never forget ya !! I haven’t been able to open gifts today cause I haven’t been feeling too good, tomorrow I will see!! Even this the best gift of all was your presence(sic)

The baby shower came just days after Cardi and Offset, 26, confirmed that they had secretly married in their bedroom nine months ago.
