The stars aligned for ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’

The release of the first Black Panther film in 2018 was a box-office hit and a cultural reset. Introducing one of the first black superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to a mainstream audience, the film earned an Oscar nomination for Best Picture.

Now, the film’s long-awaited sequel Wakanda Forever hits theatres on 11 November.

After being delayed by the pandemic and the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman, who played Tchalla/Black Panther, Wakanda Forever is the MCU’s 30th feature film.

Last night, the stars came out to celebrate the World Premier of this cinematic phenomenon, alongside an incredible cast including Lupita Nyong’o, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Danai Gurira, Florence Kasumba, Angela Bassett and Martin Freeman.

The film also debuts newcomers Tenoch Huerta as Namor and Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams/Ironheart.

Here’s some of the Hollywood heavweights who came out to the premier:
