The Primevideo series, The Summer I Turned Pretty has everyone on the edge of there seat as we await the final outcome of the love triangle between Belly and the Fisher brothers. There are definite camps- Team Conrad or Team Jer. Whoever your preferred love interest is (we hope its team Conrad),what has me truly excited is the main character Lola Chungs' press looks while promoting the show. Just as her character "Belly" has grown and matured so has her fashion on the red carpet.
Lola has proven to be a true new-gen style icon(as quoted by W Magazine)as she has experimented with various contrasting looks. From sophisticated sleek and modern tailoring, edgy and boho chic looks with a mix of vintage. Her stylist Brit Maccamey has ensured that each look has balance by ensuring her looks are youthful yet sophisticated and unexpected. One of my favourite looks was the white sheer Ann Demeulemeester dress from the brands Spring/Summer 2025 collection which she wore to the season premier. Flanked by her costars Chris Briney and Gavin Castalegno, the dress was paired with a pair of knee length lace up metallic sneakers and a lace cap which ensured the look was equal parts cool and edgy as well as romantic. The genius of the styling is not accessorising with the expected but pairing it with the unexpected like the sneakers and cap. The 90s style slip dresses have also been evident and which she pulls off effortlessly.
Lola has also been announced as a CROCS ambassador and has been promoting her latest collab with the brand and she has been no stranger to the fashion week scenes. She looked stunning in Balmain and retro at Tory Burch as well as cool girl chic at a Chanel event.
We are excited to see more of her looks this coming fashion season but most importantly the ending of the series where she finally ends up with her true love Conrad!
