Mzansi’s popular telenovela Inimba is returning for its highly anticipated Season 2 starting on Monday, 02 March.
The new season opens with Zoleka Bikitsha (Lunathi Mampofu) and Lazarus Ngcukana (Loyiso MacDonald) families coming together for a celebration of love, but the arrival of Lazarus’s cousin, Azande Ngcukana ignites a silent war over succession inside the Ngcukana empire. So, if you thought the Mabandla family brought nothing but drama, wait until you see what the Ngcukana clan has hidden under their legacy!
Azande is played by Siya Raymond Sepotokele (Law, Love & Betrayal S1, The River S3&S4, Lingashoni), a character whose arrival quietly disrupts and unsettles loyalties, reopening dynamics which the family thought were long buried. Viewers will have to wait and see whether his presence strengthens or fractures family bonds, but one thing is for sure, he will not go unnoticed!
Speaking on this exciting new role, Siya says he is thrilled to star alongside a talented cast and crew on one of Mzansi’s most beloved telenovelas. “It feels amazing to be part of Inimba and working with these great people. I am looking forward to being back working on a production that will personify the magic that exists in Mzansi.” says Siya.
What can viewers look forward to with this new character he will be portraying?
“I always do my best to bring every character I play to life, and hope that the viewers will see and appreciate what I will be doing with this new character. What I can guarantee is that they will have some really strong feelings towards him,” he adds.
The new season sees everyone trying to rebuild their lives - from the power couple navigating the in-law dynamics, Thumeka (Zenande Mfenyana) trying to move on from grief and redefining her dignity, Hlathi (Sisanda Hewana) battling with guilt and fatherhood, Sydney (Siyabonga Shibe) redeeming himself in the Tech industry, and Qhawe (Ayakha Ntunja) showing stronger determination in her career growth. So, do tune in to watch Season 2 starting on Monday, 02 March at 20:30 on Mzansi Magic DStv Channel 161.
