Celebrate the end of 2021 in style with Moët & Chandon

Every year South Africa anticipates the absolutely elegant Moët & Chandon festive fête and this year the House will be bringing joy to the City of Gold.

To celebrate the arrival of the festive season and the end of 2021, Moët & Chandon’s effervescence will flow in over 20 cities including Sydney, Hong Kong, New York, Paris and South Africa’s very own City of Gold, Johannesburg.

Moët & Chandon have announced that the iconic Moët & Chandon Golden Tree will be showcased in Sandton’s Nelson Mandela Square from the 25th of November 2021 until the 3rd of January 2022. This means that you, and those nearest and dearest to you, can celebrate the end of 2021 and welcome 2022 together in true Moët & Chandon champagne style.

To elevate the quintessential fête even more, Moët & Chandon will be including South Africa’s favourite personalities in the celebration and other unique experiences.

The Moët & Chandon festive fête will include Miss Universe 2019, Zozibini Tunzi, on centre stage at the Golden Tree opening ceremony, the Moët & Chandon Toast to a Cause and the House is a surprise performance by one of South Africa’s most acclaimed international artists.

Completely new in its design, the Moët & Chandon Golden Tree will provide picture-worthy effervescent reflections of the surrounding skyline. Golden baubles will adorn the tree’s exterior, while the interior will open to offer guests an immersive experience. 1400 Moët & Chandon bottles have been crafted into a show-stopping chandelier hanging from the ceiling over a champagne cork floor.

“If the last 2 years have taught us anything, it’s the importance of acknowledging our friends and families, daily moments that matter and toasting too today. With a series of effervescent Moët & Chandon experiences taking place globally, the Moët & Chandon Golden Tree will bring the spirit of celebration and festive joy to South Africa, as only Moët & Chandon can,” said David White, Moët Hennessy General Manager of Southern Africa.

Personalised gifting service will also be available via the Moët & Chandon pop-up store, located on the square. The store will be accessible from November 25th until December 23rd, from 12 pm until 6 pm and offer consumers the ability to personalise their purchase.
