The winners, the fashion and all the glitz & glam from GLAMOUR’s Women of the Year 2022 - Game Changers Edition

GLAMOUR’s Women of the Year awards ( #WOTY2022) made an epic return on Saturday, the 19th of November after a 2-year hiatus. Hosted at the picturesque Boschendal Wine Estate and by invite only, the pink carpet affair was attended by the who’s who on the social scene and VVIPs.

The awards are GLAMOUR’s global event that has honoured international A-listers such as the likes of international celebrities Angela Bassett, Megan Thee Stallion and Jennifer Hudson, and locally, the WOTY alumni includes powerhouses Bonang Matheba, Connie Ferguson and PJ Powers.

This year's event powered up by Tresemmé as our headline partner was themed, “The Game Changers Edition” Honouring 12 phenomenal women who are trailblazers in their respective fields.

“The GLAMOUR Women of the Year Awards embodies everything TRESemmé stands for. It’s a space that celebrates those who inspire us in the pursuit of excellence. This partnership with GLAMOUR and Tresemmé will bring graduates from our Stylist Training Programme together with the incredible women that are making waves within their various disciplines. We are excited to celebrate these women who are rewriting the narrative for the next generation,” says Kenosi Matsebatlela, Face and Hair Category Marketing Manager for Beauty, Wellbeing and Personal Care at Unilever, on the partnership.

Event partners included Hendricks Gin, Avon, Google SA, Ice Tropez, Esthederm, Nivea, Roses and Schick.

A pink carpet was rolled out for our esteemed guests who were dressed to the nines. And they enjoyed welcome drinks, canapés and a scrumptious 3-course dinner, as well as a special diamond surprise giveaway by Shimansky.

Hosted by Expresso presenter, Palesa Tembe and co-hosted by the GLAMOUR Editor-In-chief Nontando Mposo, the evening was exhilarating, empowering and inspiring. Paxton Fielies (Idols SA winner 2017) added another dimension of extra special flair to the event with her performance.

“With WOTY we are honouring and highlighting phenomenal women who are leaders in their chosen fields. These women are game-changers and deserve to be celebrated as outstanding individuals who are changing the narrative and pushing boundaries when it comes to the way they work, and this is the essence of the GLAMOUR brand,” says GLAMOUR’s Editor-In-Chief, Nontando Mposo

With the formalities out of the way, guests reported to the dance floor and danced the night away, and everyone left with goodie bags filled with goodies and memories of an iconic evening.
