Sleeq Hair introduces a scalp-first hair growth serum for thinning, shedding, and reduced density

Sleeq Hair has introduced a 4-in-1 Hair Growth Serum, a leave-in scalp treatment built around ginseng, rosemary, thuja leaf, and biotin. According to the brand, people concerned about thinning and shedding may be paying attention to the wrong part of the problem.

Sleeq Hair suggests that hair care often focuses on visible strands, with less attention given to the scalp.

That argument is also how the brand distinguishes itself from the rest of the category. Shampoos, conditioners, and masks can smooth, strengthen, and temporarily make existing hair look fuller, but according to Sleeq Hair, those products work mainly on the visible strand.

The company built its serum around a different question: what is happening to the scalp and follicle underneath it?

The formula is a lightweight, no-rinse treatment meant for daily application directly to the scalp. Sleeq Hair describes the texture as non-oily, absorbed without leaving residue, and left on rather than rinsed out.

The brand assigns each of the four ingredients a specific role. Ginseng is positioned for stronger-looking, revitalized hair. Rosemary is included for scalp care. Thuja leaf is meant to support a healthier-looking scalp. Biotin is there for the appearance of thicker, fuller hair.

Two of those ingredients have published research behind them. A 2024 Japanese laboratory study applied Panax ginseng extract and ginsenosides to human hair follicles and hair-forming cells. The extract stimulated growth of the hair shaft, and the researchers pointed to its potential to support the hair growth cycle.

Separately, a six-month clinical trial tested rosemary oil in participants with androgenetic alopecia, the clinical term for pattern hair loss. Hair count rose over the course of the study, and the increase matched a comparison group using 2 percent minoxidil, one of the most widely used over-the-counter treatments in the category.

Sleeq Hair also draws a line between three problems it says are often treated as one. Breakage affects the hair shaft, while shedding involves hair releasing from the follicle. Thinning can have several causes, including changes in the hair-growth cycle.

For Sleeq Hair, this research supports a scalp-first approach to everyday hair care, giving the scalp and roots more attention as part of a consistent hair routine.

Sleeq Hair encourages consistency with a new routine and positions scalp care as one part of everyday hair care. The brand also recommends consulting a healthcare professional about persistent or sudden hair loss, significant scalp irritation, or a noticeable change in hair density to help identify possible underlying causes.
