This year, L’Oréal Professional’s legendary pro competition “Style & Colour Trophy” goes digital and you are invited to be part of it by voting for the most desirable looks.
The L’Oréal Style & Colour Trophy pro competition is all about giving professionals access to the biggest stage in the industry to showcase their talents.
Keeping up their pioneering spirit since founder Eugene Schueller & L’Oréal Professionnel Paris invented hair coloration in its modern way in 1909, the biggest professional competition in the industry is now going digital in 2021.
Held since 1954 and born in the United Kingdom, the referent professional stage is known by hair pros as the most important competition in the world, and the longest running one. Each year, the Style &Colour Trophy is a unique opportunity for all competitors to showcase their work, new techniques, find what the new hairtrends and new styles are.
What makes it so special is the full art direction that the hairdressers are asked to present, they are evaluated on the entire look: including hair, makeup, cut, and the style. It allows hairstylists to become recognized and inspired amongst the best of the best from over 40 countries.
This new edition of Style & Colour Trophy is the opportunity to emphasize the professional edge even more and puts hairstylists in the spotlight.
A renewed digital competition opening up to the world in 2021:
For the first time, the legendary competition is opening up to the world beyond the pro community, inviting the hair lovers from the general public to vote for the most desirable looks seen on this stage.
Jury members of the 2021 Style & Colour Trophy are:
- 3 reknown national hairpros, (with different specialties : colorist, entrepreneur, stylist).
- 1 beauty & fashion expert (beauty influenceur, fashion designer, fashion photographer).
- 1 beauty journalist.
How to compete in 2021?
Anyone among the 7 million hairstylists in the world can compete, by registering online on www.styleandcolourtrophy.lorealprofessionnel.com, and go through the 3 phases of the competition: online preselection, national finale, global finale.
Step 1: Post 6 images of a model translating their own interpretation of the French Balayage mandatory theme. Candidates are invited to share their looks on instagram to also increase their own visibility & get support from their communities. 12 finalists will be selected taking into account the general public votes.
Step 2: Take part in your national finale, by creating a new French Balayage look live. 1st Place National Grand winner , 2nd place National Winner, 3rd place National Winner.
Step 3: Compete in the global grand finale, and get the chance to win among the following awards (French Balayage, French Colour, French Styling, Special Jury Award) and become the Style & Colour Trophy 2021 global grand winner. They will shine on the global Style & Colour Trophy stage.
