Inspo: Celeb beauty looks we’re loving for the festive season

The festive season is upon us which means out comes the pops of colour, splashes of sparkle and a little extravagance - without having to worry that you’re being too OTT.

When it comes to makeup, you can kick it up a notch too - wearing full glam night-time looks during the day if you please.

However, if you’re not yet ready to go all out, you can start by having fun and trying something new. Some glittery eyeshadow, a standout lip or a little more liner than usual can get you in the holiday spirit.

If you need some inspo, these celebs have got the memo:

Classic bombshell

Of course Queen B will give us a bombshell face beat. For this look, a red lip is essential, accompanied by bronze tones and brown smokey eyes.

Lavender lady

Lavender is the colour of the moment and makes for an ethereal makeup look. Some lilac tones on the eyes (perhaps paired with a nude lip a la Nomzamo) will give any outfit a trendy upgrade.

Vampy baby

Sometimes you just want to be sexy and seductive, Megan Thee Stallion gave us some vampy glam not too long ago, and her overlined ombre lips and dramatic lashes are the perfect reference point.

All the way snatched

We can always count on Miss Bonang to give us something impeccable. A strong contour is imperative for a fully snatched makeup look. A pulled back up-do and elegant outfit will enhance this even further.

Bronzed goddess

A classic holiday season look is all about the metallic tones. K Naomi got the right with golden eyes, natural lip and soft glam.

Graphic eyes

If you’re keen to try something more bold, graphic eyes are the way to go. Try a mix of jewel tones applied in a colour-blocked pattern to make your face the star of the show.

Sparkly shades

Sparkly eyes don’t have to be dramatic. Opt for iridescent or translucent shades for a subtle yet stand-out look.

Seeing green

Green is another in-colour this season. Incorporate it into your beauty look through a graphic liner or green-toned shadow.
