We’re obsessed with Rihanna’s new honey blond locks

It's hard to resist the feminine urge to go blonde in the summer and brunette for the winter. Rihanna did just that.

On 12 November, the 35-year-old singer was seen leaving restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, styling her new waist-length cosy blonde hair with an all-black look – paired with a bright green manicure to mix things up, in her usual style.

She first debuted her caramel-toned hair on 9 November, while out for dinner at Hollywood's San Vicente Bungalows. She wore a grey hoodie, grey Y/PROJECT jeans, snakeskin shoes and a long camel-coloured coat, and topped off the elevated casual 'fit with a blue shoulder bag.

The colour is significantly lighter than the chest-length bronde blowout she sported late last month. On 31 October, Rihanna was actually spotted leaving the same exclusive clubhouse in West Hollywood wearing burgundy leather pants with a black leather jacket.

With her latest look, Rihanna went for more of a honey-blonde tone while still achieving that effortless aesthetic by keeping her hair darker towards the roots. “Cosy blonde is a term used to describe a super-low-maintenance approach to being a blonde,” celebrity hair extension and color expert Michelle Cleveland once told Glamour. “The look embraces more depth in the hair with low lights and strategic placement of lighter blonde shades, allowing for a low-maintenance blonde that works for any season.”

After managing to talk myself out of going blonde this summer, it seems Rihanna may have finally weakened my resolve. As if my wallet didn't have enough to worry about this holiday season… Thanks a lot!
