3 Ways to style your sneakers

No matter how much you love your heels, there’s always a time to put them aside and slip on a pair of flats. And that doesn’t have to mean a boring pair of pumps: sneakers are a classic trend and the bolder, the better! Here are some of our favourite ways to style sneakers.

Know the basics

First things first – find out which style of sneaker you feel most comfortable in. High-tops are sneakers that go all the way up to your ankles, like Air Jordans. Mid-tops end just below your ankles and tend to be have slimmer soles. Low-tops are the regular sneakers that don’t cover your ankles, like Vans or Supergas.

Cool and casual

Everyone’s favourite (and the easiest) way to wear sneakers is with skinny jeans. You can play around with what you wear on top – any combination of T-shirt, checked shirt, sweatshirt, sweater and coat will give you a practical and casually cool look.

Go for high fashion

You can dress sneakers up too – wear your low-tops with a leather skirt and grey sweatshirt like Ashley Madekwe ( find out more about sweatshirts here) or with a tailored suit and plain white T-shirt and give those well-dressed Italian men some competition!
