Thandie Newton rocks Thebe Magugu at an event for British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful

Renowned South African designer Thebe Magugu continues to infiltrate all corners of the globe - particularly amongst the Hollywood elite.

Yesterday, Zimbabwean-born British actress, Thandiwe Newton, known for her roles in Mission Impossible, Pursuit of Happyness, and Reminiscence, to name a few, rocked a Thebe Magugu ensemble at an event honouring British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful.

Thandiwe’s outfit consisted of a straw-printed blouse and matching pleated skirt from the designer’s Auntum/Winter 2021 collection.

The fabric is adorned with a unique print that includes pictures of goat knuckles, a rusted police whistle, a red dice, and other objects of divination. The print was created in collaboration with traditional healer Noentla Khumalo.

The Reminiscence star styled her outfit with black combat boots and gold hoop earrings.

She was joined at the exclusive cocktail party by other fashion A-listers including model Kaia Gerber and her mother Cindy Crawford. Cardi B made an appearance, as did Lizzo, Serena Williams, Amber Valetta, and Miley Cyrus.

The event was held at the UTA Artist’s Space in Beverly Hills and honoured Enninful for his work across Vogue’s British and European titles.

We love Thandi Newton for repping’ South African talents in these honourable spaces.
