You might think summer’s a low season for the red carpet, with high-profile award shows in the rear-view mirror. But really, this is when the most Fashion-with-a-capital-F moments of the year take the spotlight—first, with the Met Gala, then with the Council of Fashion Designers of America—or the CFDA—Awards, otherwise known as the biggest celebration of designers and their accomplishments on the fashion calendar.
