Everything you need to know about Fenty Beauty coming to Africa

This week, Rihanna broke the internet (again) when she announced her Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin brands will be coming to Africa.

Beauty enthusiasts and Riri fans alike couldn’t contain their excitement with much buzz and questions ranging from where the products will be sold, how much they will cost, and when they will be available.

Below is a breakdown of everything you need to know.

Where will it be available?

Rihanna and the official Fenty Beauty account announced on Instagram that Fenty Beauty will be available in eight African countries, including Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Namibia, Nigeria, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa.

Where will be able to purchase it?

In response to a fan posing the question on Twitter, Fenty Beauty revealed that Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin products will be sold at ARC and Edgars Beauty stores in South Africa.

It will also be sold at Essenza in Nigeria and Ghana, Linton’s Beauty in Kenya, Catts in Zimbabwe, Color Cafe in Zambia, and at Edgars in Namibia and Botswana.

When will it drop?

Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin will be available to purchase in stores from 27 May 2022.

What products will be available?

There are 39 products items listed. Fans will be able to purchase cult-favourite complexion essentials like Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation and Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter.

They can also pick up best-selling lip products like Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer and Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color, as well her must-have skincare starters such as Fenty Skin Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen and Fenty Skin Total Cleans’r Remove-It-All Cleanser.

Additionally, customers in Africa will be able to immediately pick up the newest launches from the brands, like Fenty Beauty Fenty Icon Refillable Lipstick – a luxurious semi-matte lipstick collection – and Sun Stalk’r Face + Eye Bronzer & Highlighter Palette – a do-it-all bronzer-inspired palette with two new highlighter shades – and Fenty Skin Pre-Show Glow Instant Retexturizing Treatment – A powerful exfoliating treatment loaded with 10% HAs (alpha hydroxy acids ), rooibos, fruit enzymes, and extracts.

How much can we expect to pay?*

Fenty Beauty will sell for a similar price point to other high-end cosmetic brands such as Bobbi Brown, MAC, and Inglot.

Items such as the Pro Filt’r foundation will cost around R755, Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder, R675, and Stunna Lip Paint for R550.

The Sun Stalker Highlighter Palette goes for around R955 while the skincare range’s full-sized bundle costs R1 600 and the “mini must-have set” is prized at R1 300.

The cheapest item, a mini cleanser, is R295. while a day-and-night time skincare bundle is the most expensive item at R2950.
