The 19th annual SAMAs not only brought the finest local couture to the yellow carpet, but featured a few surprising and long-overdue wins. With an audience of 5000 people and a mind-blowing opening performance by Toya Delazy and Reason, the awards held at the Sun City Superbowl on Saturday could possibly be the best so far.
Toya Delazy and Khuli Chana were the biggest winners, scooping three MTN SAMAs each – with the Motswako protégé (Chana) being awarded his very first SAMA for best Male Artist, Best Rap Album and Album of the Year! The show also featured an endless list of guest presenters such as Gareth Cliff and Pearl Thusi as well as unique and iconic performances with collaborations by ChianoSky with DJ Zinhle and Busiswa, Bobby van Jaarsveld with Oskido and Candy and much more! See the full list of all the winners below!
